To celebrate recovery from addiction, build community awareness that recovery works and educate on the different pathways to recovery, and to help fundraise for local non-profit recovery resources.
A group of volunteers started the “Step Into Action” charity walk in 2013, and the event was amazingly successful.
In 2015, more partners and sponsors joined the cause and over 300 walkers raised over $20,000 to benefit recovery programs and centers in Vermont. Our hope for the 2020 Recovery Walk is to continue to build upon our success and make even more impact throughout Vermont.
Addiction touches all of our lives in some way – some of us directly, some of us indirectly. Join us in our fight to make a real difference in our neighbors' lives by registering to walk today!
This year 100% of the proceeds from the Recovery Walk will go to Story Yoga, Vermont Foundation of Recovery, UVM Catamount Recovery Program, Turning Point Center of Chittenden County, and First Step Recovery House. Choose where the money you raise goes!
